from 3d scan to3d model is a long process, the scan only gives you a wire frame mesh but obviously only the internal details that can be seen from openings, the wire mesh is used as a skeleton to draw inside of to create the actual part model, as you can see from these pictures the model appearing inside of the mesh and the overlaying mesh can be turned on and of visually
